Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's primary parenting rule for son Archie revealed

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have revealed their primary parenting rule for their son, Archie. Despite living away from the public eye, the couple has shared insights into their son’s upbringing – including their top priority as parents.

Archie Harrison, who is set to turn five next month, resides in Montecito with his parents and younger sister, Lilibet, who will celebrate her third birthday in June.

In a 2022 interview with The Cut, Meghan, a proud mother, discussed her young son and how she and Harry are striving to raise a well-mannered young man.

“We always tell him: ‘Manners make the man. Manners, manners, manners, manners, manners.'” she said.

The Duchess also demonstrated her hands-on approach to parenting during a recent birthday party they attended.

Despite surprising everyone by showing up, Meghan recalled being in a bouncy castle with a one year old child and asking, “I was in a bouncy castle, and I saw this one-year-old inside. I was like, ‘Where’s your mom? ‘ And this mom on the outside goes, ‘Oh, hi! I’m here. I wasn’t sure if I should come in.’

“I was like, ‘Do you need your child? Of course you can come in.'” When the mother responded from outside, unsure if she should enter, Meghan reassured her, saying, “I was in a bouncy castle, and I saw this 1-year-old inside. I was like, ‘Where’s your mom? ‘ And this mom on the outside goes, ‘Oh, hi! I’m here. I wasn’t sure if I should come in.’ I was like, ‘Do you need your child? Of course you can come in’,” reports the Mirror.

This revelation comes as a Royal expert suggests that Meghan fears her two children might “blame her” if they feel “deprived” of the opportunity to serve as working royals in the UK.

Meghan, who withdrew from Royal duties alongside Prince Harry in 2020 and moved to Montecito, is reportedly still grappling with her experiences as a member of the British Royal Family.

However, the former Suits actress’s distance from the UK and the Royal Family has sparked concerns that her children may grow to resent her for their lack of connection with their paternal grandparents and cousins, says a Royal expert.

Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, Royal author Tom Quinn stated: “On the other hand, we should always remember that phrase – ‘never say never,’ because it will come back to haunt you when you change your mind, especially if you are a public figure like Meghan.”

“A friend of the couple – one of Meghan’s few aristocratic friends from her time in the UK – told me Meghan does miss some aspects of life in the UK and worries that her children will blame her if they never get to see their cousins and feel as adults that they have been deprived of what might have been a fun and meaningful existence in the UK as working royals.”

However, Mr Quinn added: “It will be a long time before Meghan reappears in the UK. She has already publicly stated that she will not return to the UK, and her friends insist she is still furious at the way she feels she was treated during her time in Britain.”
