Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's new Sussex website has a subtle link to her past

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s new sussex.com website was designed by one of her previous collaboraters who has been by her side throughout her career.

The site caused controversy when it was launched as people claimed the couple were using their royal connections to create new business.

But Meghan defended the website’s design, including its prominent use of their royal crest, in statement posted on the design agency Article’s webpage.

She said in a review: “There is a reason I have worked with Ryan and the talented team at Article for a decade: their attention to detail, their creativity and care, and the thoughtful approach to design as well as to the user experience.

“They’re not just designers; they are collaborators who elevate your ideas into visual identities. They’re a very special company. Plus they’re Canadian, so I’m a fan.”

At the time of closing her blog down Meghan published an emotional statement: “After close to three beautiful years on this adventure with you, it’s time to say goodbye to The Tig.

“What began as a passion project (my little engine that could) evolved into an amazing community of inspiration, support, fun and frivolity. You’ve made my days brighter and filled this experience with so much joy.

“Keep finding those Tig moments of discovery, keep laughing and taking risks, and keep being ‘the change you wish to see in the world.’ Above all, don’t ever forget your worth – as I’ve told you time and time again: you, my sweet friend, you are enough. Thank you for everything.”

The Duchess was once an avid user of social media, but now aside from the Sussex websites all her other profiles have been shut down or deleted.

Prince Harry too has hit back at those who have accused the couple of monetising the royals as a source insists it has not been a concern for the Firm.

The source told The Times: “It isn’t any sort of problem for the rest of the Royal Family. It hasn’t even been part of a conversation. Harry is more concerned about the health and well-being of the King and [Princess] Kate and thinks that that is where the focus should be.”
