Meghan Markle and Prince Harry told how to save their desperately plummeting popularity

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been given a three-step plan to win back hearts on both sides of the Atlantic, as their popularity has taken a nosedive, particularly in the UK where a staggering 68 percent of Brits view Meghan negatively, according to a YouGov poll.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s brand is in dire need of a revamp following their plummeting approval ratings, a PR expert has advised.

The couple’s decision to step down from royal duties in 2020 and their subsequent move to Montecito, California, has kept them in the limelight, often for contentious reasons, especially after speaking out about their Royal Family experiences.

Now a PR expert has outlined three things the royal couple must do to regain public trust.

With more than a year elapsed since Prince Harry’s tell-all book ‘Spare’ hit the shelves, a PR specialist believes it’s high time for the Sussexes to focus on mending their public image.

Lynn Carratt from Press Box PR spoke exclusively with the Mirror, outlining a comeback strategy for the beleaguered pair.

“It’s time for them to really focus on a brand rebuild which the couple are doing,” she remarked, reports the Mirror.

Lynn suggests that the Sussexes could improve their public image by being more transparent about their “struggles”.

She stated: “To become more relatable to the British public, they could become more open about their everyday struggles and show themselves as working parents facing the same challenges as others would also help. We don’t need a constantly polished image.”

Lyne advised: “Meghan could increase her popularity by not constantly playing in her royal connections, like on her and Harry’s relaunched website.

“Their new TV shows focuses on their passions rather than their royal past and could show a new side to the couple. The pair are also reported to be employing a new PR adviser and it would be useful for their publicist to advise their PR strategy to encompass the UK and USA media landscape to make the couple appealing in both sides of the Atlantic.”

She added: “Harry and Meghan will start making more public appearances as their brand rebuilds; they will also be on the outlook for new commercial deals. The couple should continue their rebranding; they need to be seen at the right events, associate themselves with the right brands and charities and start to build bridges with the Royal Family.”

As further advice Lynn added: “In the past year or so Harry has started to move out on his own and that is a good thing to see. For now the couple need to continue moving forward.”
