Meghan Markle and Prince Harry face backlash as Montecito neighbours 'appalled' at Endgame

Ms Schofield opined: “So the headlines are here. However, in Montecito, it seems like Harry and Meghan’s star has fallen quite a bit. Montecito bookstores are refusing – I shouldn’t say refusing, there’s just no interest in Endgame.”

Not only were bookstores in Meghan and Harry’s adopted hometown not stocking the new book, but according to Ms Schofield, the Sussexes’ Montecito neighbours are “appalled” by how the couple are perceived to be treating their family.

Speaking to GB News, Ms Schofield continued: “This is from the Times, my friend Kieran Southern breaking this story that Montecito bookstores are not covering Endgame, that Montecito neighbours are uninterested and appalled by the way that Harry and Megan are not respecting their elders and it seems like they’re being very cruel towards their family members.

“So a lot of the neighbourhood saying that they are uninterested in the Sussexes and don’t respect them or appreciate the way that they’ve treated their family.”

Meghan and Harry moved to California in 2020 after falling out with the rest of the Royal Family. The couple now reside there with their two children Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibet, two.

The Duke and Duchess have embarked on a series of media endeavours since leaving the Royal Family, including a Netflix docuseries released in December 2022.

However, the largest bombshell was dropped when Prince Harry released his tell-all memoir Spare in January. The book was critical of several members of the Firm.

While the Sussexes and Mr Scobie claim that Meghan and Harry were not involved in Endgame, the book has reignited scrutiny over the couple’s claims made in the past – particularly with regards to the royal race row.
