McDonald's to reinstate popular 'deluxe' burger to brand new menu from today

McDonald’s fans will see a range of new items on the fast food chain’s menu this month, including some seasonal treats for Easter.

The fast-food chain is known for frequently switching up its menu by removing long-standing favourites to welcome fresh recipes.

In the latest change to its offering in UK restaurants, McDonald’s has welcomed six new products ranging from savoury snacks to sweet pies and McFlurry’s.

Available today, Wednesday, March 13 from 11am, the Easter menu includes a new collection of hot cross bun flavoured foods along with some old favourites.

It comes after the fast-food giant announced that it would axe nine menu items ahead of today’s spring launch.

Among the returning foods is the popular Deluxe McCrispy burger which features a crispy chicken fillet with shredded lettuce, Roma tomatoes and mayo.

The £5.89 burger debuted in August 2023 when McDonald’s unveiled its summer menu but was soon axed to make space for new recipes.

Nostalgic Halloumi Fries (£2.79), will also return to UK restaurants today after a short stint off the menu.

The spring menu features a host of Easter-themed flavours including a tantalising duo of hot cross bun treats.

McDonald’s has given its humble apple pie a unique twist to create the Hot Cross Bun Pie for £1.99.

Made up of a crispy cinnamon pastry and filled with a spiced fruit mix and butter-flavour cream filling, the hot pie claims to be the perfect balance of spicy and sweet.

Continuing with the spiced fruit and butter flavours, the fast-food giant has also launched the Hot Cross Bun Latte (£2.69)

The hot drink takes a classic latte base and blends sweet and spiced Hot Cross Bun flavour syrup, with a topping of cinnamon cream and a hot cross bun flavour dusting.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a new menu without fresh McFlurry flavours, of which there are two. The McDonald’s Easter menu includes the popular Cadbury Creme Egg McFlurry (£2.19), available in the regular cup or a half-portion.

The newest flavour to join the collection is the Galaxy Truffle Bunny McFlurry (£2.19). It’s made with soft dairy ice cream swirled with pieces of Galaxy Truffle, Galaxy bunny ears and white and dark chocolate drops, then topped with Galaxy Chocolate sauce.
