King Charles 'would love' big Christmas reunion but 'nervous' inviting Harry and Meghan

King Charles “would love” to have the whole family together at Sandringham for Christmas but is “nervous” about inviting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, a royal insider has claimed.

Though there have been rumours that the Sussexes hope to return to the UK over Christmas, Vanity Fair reports they will not be coming to England to join King Charles and the rest of The Firm for the holidays.

One insider told the outlet there is “no chance” of Harry, Meghan, and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet being invited, as there is still so much “hostility” toward them.

Speculation of a possible yuletide reunion began last month, when the Duke and Duchess spoke with King Charles for his 75th birthday, with Archie and Lilibet offering a sweet rendition of “Happy Birthday” to their grandfather in a video recording.

But according to the outlet, there has since been little communication between the Sussexes and the king.

“The king would love nothing more than to have Christmas with his sons and all his grandchildren, but it’s not that simple and there is no chance the Sussexes will be coming,” the source said.

“It would make things very difficult because there is still so much hostility towards Harry and Meghan, particularly from the Prince and Princess of Wales.”

“Charles is also deeply nervous about the risks of conversations being leaked by the Sussex camp, which is why there have been very few of them.”
