King Charles will never 'call to Montecito' for Prince Harry to come back for royal duties

King Charles will not extend an invitation to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to return to royal duties, asserting that Harry’s move to Montecito signifies his final departure from royal obligations, according to a Royal Family author.

Despite Duke of Sussex’s potential return to the UK next month for an event commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, Tom Quinn believes that the Duke of Sussex is unlikely to resume royal duties alongside his wife, the Duchess of Sussex.

He told The Mirror.”Harry is scheduled to speak at St Paul’s Cathedral in London on May 8 to mark the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games. The Games were founded by Harry when he was still a working royal, so pressure isn’t being brought to bear to make him give it up now.”

“But even if Harry begged to be allowed back to help out. Even if his father King Charles became so ill he was unable to carry out his duties.

“Whatever happens, the call to help will never go out to Montecito.”

Even in hypothetical scenarios where Harry may desire to return to royal duties, Quinn believes King Charles would not reach out to the Sussexes’ home in California, where the couple resides.

The royal expert also said that Harry’s declaration of the US as his primary residence marks his decision as a “final goodbye”.

Documents submitted to Companies House in the UK show the Duke of Sussex amended his residency status for Travalyst, an organisation he founded, to reflect his primary residence as the US rather than Britain.

However, the move to the US has not been without its complications.

The Biden administration is currently under pressure to disclose Harry’s visa records, particularly in light of revelations made in his memoir “Spare” regarding his past use of illegal drugs.

US-based think tank The Heritage Foundation has initiated legal action against the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to obtain Harry’s visa documents, aiming to ascertain whether he disclosed his history of drug use before obtaining a US visa.
