King Charles will star in a feature-length film for Amazon Prime, it has been claimed.
The film will be titled Harmony: A New Way of Looking At Our World, and will be based on the book written by the monarch when he was the Prince of Wales
As reported by The Times, the documentary will focus on the monarch’s belief that people, nature and the built environment are interlinked, with film-makers set to look at Charles’s charity work in the UK and overseas.
While the King, 76, will feature in the documentary, it is not set to be about his personal life, a palace source has confirmed.
A palace source said: “The film is not about the King, it is about the work that he has inspired around the world in exploring and finding ways for communities to work in closer connection with nature and towards a more sustainable future.”
It has been reported by The Times that the King is greatly looking forward to seeing how the Harmony concept can be communicated to an international audience.
Although the documentary is not set to be released until towards the end of the year or even 2026, filming has reportedly begun to take place.
The filming will be mainly based at Dumfries House in Scotland.
The news is set to surprise some people as it shows the monarch heading in a new direction not too dissimilar from the actions of his sons Prince William, 42, and Prince Harry, 40.
This is because both William and Harry have featured in documentaries before, with the Prince of Wales starring in a documentary of the Earthshot Prize just last year.
The first-in-line to the throne also recently appeared in a documentary about homelessness, focusing on his Homewards initiative.
Meanwhile, Harry – who quit life as a senior royal in 2020 along with his wife Meghan Markle – was the focus of a tell-all documentary about his own life on Netflix.
The show, named Harry and Meghan, was released in 2022.
Queen Camilla was also on TV screens last year in a documentary which focused on her domestic violence campaign.
