Kilt wearing shopper 'shoved antiques up his rectum and placed them back on store shelves'

A 60 year old man, known for his kilt-wearing and towering height of 6′ 6″, has been arrested for allegedly shoving antiques up his rectum and placing them back on the shelf at stores.

Mitchell Cooper Vest was identified by business owners as the man who entered their shops and placed various items up his backside before returning them to the shelves, according to court records in Texas.

The police claim that Vest visited several stores in Spring, a suburb of Houston, last week and committed criminal mischief.

Specifically, they say Vest first went into the Antique Gallery of Houston where he inserted a makeup brush and a ‘Restoration Hardware piece’ into his anus before putting the merchandise, worth $130, back on the shelf.

Vest then allegedly visited “The Curiosity Shop,” which is located inside an antiques mall. The shop’s owner, Alisha Osborne, told police that Vest took an antique bottle opener and a “Tobacco Tent Can” (total value: $74) and “placed them into his anus under his green skirt/kilt, then returned the items to the shelf.”

In both cases, the items handled by Vest had to be discarded “due to faeces on them,” according to officials.

One store’s surveillance camera even captured Vest browsing. After complainants identified Vest from a photo lineup, he was charged on Thursday in connection with the revolting incidents on February 10. Vest was released on a $100 bond and is due to appear in court on February 23.

Vest, owns a home worth $600,000 in The Woodlands, a neighbourhood near Spring, according to police. In one court document, he is described as retired. Vest was arrested, and his bond was set at $100.
