Joe Swash has sparked backlash after he shared an image of his daughter’s packed lunch on Instagram. The I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! star posted a photo of Rose’s lunch box online to his 2 million followers.
He added the caption: “Rosie’s packed lunch for today?” and showed that he had included food items such as carrot sticks, cucumber, a chocolate digestive biscuit, ham slices and cheese.
However, many of his fans were not impressed with the choice of lunch items for his daughter. One person slammed in the comments section: “Nooooo – the biscuit can’t be next to the ham.”
A second person said: “I would wrap the ham, not a very hygienic lunch box.” A third person typed: “It upsets me that the biscuit is touching the ham.”
A fourth also chimed in: “Biscuit soggy next to grapes, ham should be wrapped, just my opinion.” Another also said: “I can’t bear that biscuit being in the same compartment as the ham.”
However, on the other hand many fans were satisfied with Joe’s parenting and gave him praise for his choice of food. One person said: “I’m a teacher and I’d be so happy if every child had a lunch like this. Children need quick healthy snacks. There’s not time for complicated sandwiches etc.”
Another also penned: “Looks lush!! As if she is gonna care that her choccy biscuit is touching something.” A third wrote: “Why are so many criticising this?? As if a child worries about a biscuit touching her ham and grapes!! Loosen up people.”
Rose, who was born on Stacey Solomon’s 32nd birthday at her home Pickle Cottage, is her fourth child. Her third child, Rex, was born in May 2019 and was the first child she had with Joe.
She shares the homely country mansion with her husband and all of her five children. She tied the knot with Joe in 2022 in a beautiful ceremony in the grounds of their cottage, after putting it on hold following the birth of Rose.
Joe first met Stacey in 2010 when she won I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! and he was hosting the spin-off show. At the time, Stacey was in a relationship but the pair remained close friends.
Stacey and Joe are proud parents to five children: Zach, Leighton, Rex, Rose and Belle. Joe also shares a teenage son, Harry, with his ex Emma Sophocleous, and Stacey had two sons Zach and Leighton from previous relationships.
