A brand new reality entertainment series titled The Fortune Hotel is set to air on ITV1 next Monday and it looks like viewers are in for a treat. The show is hosted by Stephen Mangan and will see ten pairs of contestants arriving and checking in at The Fortune Hotel, where they will be presented with an all-important briefcase.
Inside one of the cases will be a whopping £25,000, eight will be empty and one will contain the Early Checkout Card, which will mean an early departure for whichever pair is holding it at the end of each episode.
The players will take part in a series of challenges as viewers will be in-the-know about which pairs have which briefcases. At the end of each episode, the duo’s will head down to the Lady Luck Bar and decide whether to keep their case or swap it, in the hopes of ultimately winning the life-changing cash prize.
One of the pair’s taking part in the adrenaline-filled new show is best friends Scott and Tommy who are both from North London. Scott is a bartender and Tommy is a hairstylist apprentice, and they are both 19-years-of-age.
Speaking ahead of the ITV show airing, the duo teased their most memorable experiences while filming for the show.
Scott explained: “Every day was a different experience, we had some amazing moments in the challenges there were so many pinch me moments.
Tommy added: “We really had to dig our way out of certain situations so that was always an experience.”
The pair also opened up about clashing with one another pair and it sounds like viewers are in for fireworks when the show airs on ITV.
“We only had one disagreement and that was with Will and Jo-Anne,” Tommy divulged.
“I also had a run in with Daniel but there were tense moments with Will and Jo-Anne for sure,” Scott added.
Opening up about what they’d do with the huge cash prize if they won, the best friends admitted they would invest the money.
Tommy revealed: “I’d pay off my parents mortgage and invest the money so I could live as comfortably as possible.”
The Fortune Hotel airs every Monday-Thursday at 9pm on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player from May 13th. ITV1 and ITVX’s The Fortune Hotel is sponsored by Sky Vegas.
