BBC Breakfast viewers all say same thing after huge presenter shake-up


BBC Breakfast saw usual host Jon Kay present the show alongside stand-in presenter Nina Warhurst as they took over the iconic red sofa for the Bank Holiday Monday.

Jon and Sally Nugent normally presenter the breakfast news programme from Monday to Wednesday, and the show is then taken over by Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt from Thursday to Saturday, with stand-in hosts coming in for the Sunday episode.

Meanwhile, Nina, who took a break away from screens for maternity leave, hosts as a stand-in and has also been seen doing roving reporting segments back to the studio.

As she sat with Jon on the sofa, viewers quickly took to social media to share their joy at the presenting combo, with some saying they preferred it.

One viewer said: “@BBCBreakfast always SO MUCH BETTER when Nina is on !!!” as a user replied: “That’s why I have not turned over.”

A third chipped in: “Excellent item about the young people karaoke. I do like the nonsense chit-chat in the morning, always cheers me up! Nina & Jon always great together!”
