An Urban explorer has shared an eerie video of an abandoned hospital basement after finding an underground laboratory. TikTok user The Muse (@urbex_muse) was shocked to find abandoned medical equipment and blood-stained operating tables inside the room.
She claims that the hospital operated throughout the 1900s and was used to treat cases of tuberculosis before finally closing its doors in the 1960s.
An operating table is seen in the centre of the room, coated in what appears to be dried blood.
Pieces of analogue medical equipment are scattered throughout the room.
The creator then shows a rack full of test tubes, some broken, before panning to a cabinet full of dust-covered medicine bottles.
Towards the end of the video a medicine bottle appears to move without being touched, leading some TikTok users to theorise that the basement was haunted.
The Muse herself claimed: “I’ve definitely had some paranormal experiences.”
Commenters have speculated that the basement was once a mortuary. One wrote: “It’s where the dead bodies go. The table is for draining blood.”
Another said: “It’s a mortuary. That’s definitely embalming equipment.”
Viewers have made comparisons between the basement and settings in popular TV shows. One wrote: “This gives me American Horror Story: Asylum vibes.”
The video has more than 440,000 views and 55,000 likes.
