'I'm a royal expert and this is King Charles's biggest challenge for 2024'

Richard Fitzwilliams exclusively told Express.co.uk that even though the monarch “wisely” continued the “never complain, never explain” royal policy throughout 2023, the rift with the Sussexes will be his “biggest challenge for the future.”

He said: “[King Charles] wisely continued the ‘never complain, never explain’ policy the royals adopt when dealing with difficult situations.

“Though the rift with the Sussexes, made worse by their unpredictability, is the biggest challenge for the future.”

Previously, the expert claimed the rift between the two camps is “too deep” and thus beyond repair.

He said: “The royal rift could not be deeper. [Prince] William and Harry are reportedly not speaking[…]

“It presents a challenge but the Sussexes are failing in Hollywood and unpopular in America. What, we wonder, since they are so unpredictable, happens next!”

It comes as another royal expert claimed King Charles is “done” with being “emotionally blackmailed” by his younger son.

Mail on Sunday royal editor Charlotte Griffiths said the monarch is taking a “new approach” after Prince Harry pressed the “nuclear button”.

Speaking on the Palace Confidential podcast, she said: “He just sounds exhausted. He seems to me like a man who’s absolutely sick and tired of it (the emotional blackmail) and he’s done with it.”
