An urgent search has begun for the mother of a newborn baby girl after her lifeless body was discovered in pub toilets in Leeds.
The horrific discovery was made inside the Three Horse Shoes, in Oulton, near Leeds, on Sunday – and now detectives have launched an appeal for the mother of the baby to step forward or seek medical help.
Emergency crews had been called to the public house at around 4.45pm, with police describing it as a “traumatic incident.”
Det Ch Insp James Entwistle, of West Yorkshire Police, said: “We are urgently appealing for the mother of the baby girl to contact us.”
