Hamas says 'no chance' of Israel hostage release after Netanyahu rejects deal

Netanyahu added: “I reject outright the terms of surrender of the monsters of Hamas.”

In November, the US, Qatar, and Egypt helped broker a deal that saw more than 100 hostages released by Hamas, with Israel freeing 240 Palestinians held in Israeli prisons.

On Sunday, Netanyahu flat-out rejected the idea of a full Palestinian state being formed after the conflict in Gaza.

This comes in direct opposition to comments made by US President Joe Biden, who has supported a two-state solution.

Netanyahu said: “I will not compromise on full Israeli security control over all the territory west of the Jordan [River].

“As long as I am prime minister, I will continue to firmly stand by this.”
