GMB viewers explode as ITV star makes bombshell claim about Charles and Harry on air

Good Morning Britain viewers celebrated that Prince Harry was “no longer pulling the strings” as it emerged that King Charles will not have time to meet with him on his scheduled visit to the UK. The former working royal has already arrived in the UK, without his wife Meghan, to mark the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.

However, a spokesperson for the duke confirmed that his calendar is too busy for a meeting this time round, prompting claims that he is seen as untrustworthy. “I’ve said it before and I will say it again – the King does not trust his son,” claimed Andrew Pierce, consultant editor of the Daily Mail, as he appeared on the show.

“Harry’s laid it all bare, exposed everything – he doesn’t trust him, nor does William, and no senior member of the royal family is going to see Harry [on this visit].” This morning, Twitter exploded with reactions, with one fan writing: “It’s great news that King Charles can’t meet with him. The reason’s irrelevant; Charles is King & Harry doesn’t pull the strings anymore. Simple.”

Another added: “KC could not trust Haz not to repeat any conversations they might have together therefore the decision was made not to make time for Haz. Netflix must be so disappointed!!” A third warned: “Harry reaps what he sows.”

That was a phrase shared by the royal correspondent in the GMB studio today, as it was pointed out how his tell-all book Spare had made waves. He lamented: “I’m sad that they’re not seeing each other, father and son – but you reap what you sow.”

Meanwhile, Kevin Maguire, associate editor at the Daily Mirror, joined in with the debate to suggest that they might need mediation to heal the rift.

“With problem families, with real troubled relationships, you can have social workers and mediators in the room when you bring families together,” he mused.

“Maybe that’s what you need with Britain’s most dysfunctional family.”

Andrew quickly contradicted: “I think they’ve got quite enough on their plate” – but Kevin added: “It’s sad on a human level.”
