Donald Trump breaks silence on King Charles's cancer diagnosis in bombshell interview

Donald Trump has expressed his support for King Charles following the Monarch’s cancer diagnosis in a bombshell interview on UK television.

Speaking with Nigel Farage on GB News, Trump said: “Charles had a long wait to be king and now and now he’s got cancer.”

The former US President added: “I hope he’s gonna be okay.”

King Charles shared his cancer diagnosis in February after being treated in hospital for an unrelated enlarged prostate issue. He has reduced his public duties while receiving treatment but is believed to still be working on state papers behind the scenes.

Other high-ranking royals, such as Queen Camilla and Prince William, have taken on extra Royal duties in his absence. The Princess of Wales is also taking a break from her royal duties as she recovers from abdominal surgery.

Trump also defended Princess Kate against harsh online speculation while she was recovering her operation.

The former US President also commented on Prince Harry’s visa situation during the chat. The Duke has found himself in hot water after he admitted to using illegal drugs in his tell-all memoir Spare.

Such admissions would typically preclude someone from getting a US visa, and a conservative group in America has taken the US Government to court to find out if Harry lied on his visa application.

Donald Trump previously told the Daily Express Prince wouldn’t receive any special treatment from his administration if he was elected US President.

Nigel Farage asked if Harry would be given preferential assistance, and Trump said: “No. We’ll have to see if they know something about the drugs, and if he lied they’ll have to take appropriate action.”

When pressed, Mr Trump didn’t elaborate on a specific action he would take against the Duke of Sussex.

Later in the chat, also criticised Harry and Meghan Markle for how they treated Queen Elizabeth II when she was alive.
