The dramatic moment Blackpool Tower became engulfed in flames has been shared across social media.
Within the footage, the iconic tower – which has housed live Strictly Come Dancing’s episodes for years – can be seen going up in flames.
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service (LFRS) said in a statement that it currently had six fire engines on the scene, as well as a drone team and rope rescue team.
It added: “There may be significant disruption so please stay away from the area.
“The drone team are in operation so please do not fly drones in the area as you may obstruct emergency operations.”
