Zara Tindall and her husband Mike jetted off to Saalbach in Austria earlier this week on a fun-filled getaway. The daughter of Princess Anne was spotted beaming from ear to ear as the couple posed in a series of snaps.
In photos shared to Wing’s for Life’s official Instagram page on Wednesday, both Zara, 43, and Mike, 46, were caught laughing as they hit the slopes and got stuck into a variety of local activities.
In one image, the Royal is spotted donning a dirndl. During the 16th century, women and girls in Alpine regions of Austria wore the traditional dress.
However, she was not the only one who sported the dress-up look. In the hysterical snap, the entire group wore matching outfits. They collectively smiled at the camera, appearing to hold back their laughter.
Zara was positioned at the front and held onto an accordion, while the others held up posters in the background, while the table was covered in beer bottles and wine glasses. Meanwhile, Mike sported a blue and white checked shirt which was paired with lederhosen.
In another image, Mike was caught in action as he burst out laughing while talking to a friend and holding onto his skis.
Wings for Life is a not-for-profit spinal cord research foundation which looks to find a cure for spinal cord injuries. it relies on donations, which are used to support research projects as well as clinical studies.
Mike, who is a former England Rugby star and keen sportman is an ambassador for the charity and played a key role during the expedition.
Zara’s husband played a pivotal role in helping and organisation the week-long adventure in the Alps which was branded Mikey’s Mountain Miles.
Mike’s ski marathon along with with those who participated and joined him along the way managed to raise a whooping £110,000.
Wings of Life shared with their 50,000 followers a carousel of images, and the caption read: “Over four action-packed days, guests embarked on the challenge of conquering as much terrain as they dared.
“It was a fantastic time – a huge shoutout to our incredible fundraisers who helped us raise over £110,000! We already can’t wait for MMM 2027!,” they continued.
This came just weeks after the couple travelled to Australia for the annual Magic Millions horse racing carnival in Queensland as she is a patron of the organisation.
They first travelled down under for the event back in 2012 when she was named as an Ambassador after winning an Olympic silver medal in London.
