YouTuber demonstrates the strength of Tesla Cybertruck EV by kicking it

In the video, Mat and a friend repeatedly kick the driver’s door of the Cybertruck, however neither managed to make their mark on it.

Since the Tesla Cybertruck is made from stainless-steel, the body is so strong that some motoring experts recently voiced concerns that it could prove dangerous in some collisions due to a lack of crumple zones.

In its current form, it is unlikely that Tesla will officially sell the Cybertruck in the UK since its maximum gross weight of over 3.5 tonnes means it is classed as a heavy goods vehicle (HGV) rather than a passenger car.

However, since it was originally unveiled in 2019, the Cybertruck’s bold styling and rugged capabilities have received a lot of attention from some drivers.

The Elon Musk-owned company faced a cringeworthy moment at the car’s announcement when lead designer Franz von Holzhausen smashed two windows when demonstrating the model’s armour glass.

However, Tesla clearly found the humorous side of this embarrassing moment, briefly giving American buyers the option of a sticker that looked as if a rear window had been shattered.

With over 166,000 views, many motorists were interested in Mat’s attempts to demonstrate the strength of the new Tesla and left their thoughts on the video in the comments section.

One viewer wrote: “He never fails to impress us with things and stuff that no other journalist dares to do. He truly is Mat Watson.”

Another joked: “If anything they cleaned it!”
