One Los Angeles resident got the scare of her life after a family of massive brown bears descended upon her driveway forging for food.
Neda Farjoodi was woken up at 5:30 a.m. Saturday by the sound of howling coyotes, a familiar noise in her Woodland Hills neighborhood.
“They usually howl when they get a kill,” Farjoodi said.
She went out on her driveway to investigate and that’s when she saw the beary scary sight. Right in front of her were three huge bears climbing over the fence and onto her driveway. “It was terrifying, I never thought I‘d see a bear,” Farjoodi explained.
She sprinted to her car which was closer than her front door and started taking the dramatic footage of the furry family on her phone.
“They were looking for food, but the trash had been taken the day before so all they found were card board boxes, which they got bored of pretty quickly,” she said.
Fajoordi then decided to start her car and the bears went running down her street. She called 911 and the dispatcher referred her to the California Rangers, but by then they were long gone.
She believes the family made its way towards neighboring Calabasas where she says the creatures were spotted on ring cams later in the weekend.
Fajoordi and her cat who she keeps indoors because of all the animal activity in the area are safe. “I love animals, but it was scary to see,” she said.
