Woman and two children, 9 and 13, rushed to hospital after being 'poisoned'


A woman and her two children have been rushed to hospital after allegedly being poisoned at their home in East Sussex.

The mother, aged 38, and her two children, aged nine and 13, were discovered at an address in Uckfield on Thursday.

Emergency services rushed to Hunters Way before the family were taken to hospital where they remain today. It is understood they are all in a stable condition.

Sussex Police confirmed they are treating the case as an isolated incident.

A spokesperson for the force said: “We are not searching for anyone else in relation to this investigation. Our enquiries are ongoing and a heightened police presence is anticipated in the area at this time. This is being treated as an isolated incident with no threat to the wider community.”
