French prosecutors launced a “homicide” investigation after five bodies were found in a town to the north-east of Paris.
According to the BBC, local reports suggest a woman and her found children were found dead.
The bodies were found in Meaux, which is around 25 miles form Paris.
French prosecutors say they were found in an apartment building.
New website Actu17 says the police are looking for a 33-year-old male. They say he is “on the run”.
Prosecutor Jean-Baptiste Bladier confirmed to French media the Versailles judicial police service was investigating. The Paris region has recently seen a series of infanticides.
In November, a 41-year-old man admitted killing his three daughters before turning himself in. Police found them dead in the town of Alfortville, towards the south-east of Paris.
While October saw, a police officer kill his three daughters before killing himself at his home in Vemars in Val-d’Oise.
