Samsung might rule the roost when it comes to Android phones, but it’s getting some serious competition from the team at Motorola. The famous technology brand has now confirmed the official release of its Signature 27 device, which can be pre-ordered in the UK from November 16.
The Android phone market is highly competitive, but there are plenty of exciting features packed inside this premium flagship to help it stand out from the ever-growing crowd.
Firstly, there’s the very latest Qualcomm processor inside. This next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip, which was only announced back in September, is not only way more powerful but also offers advancements in AI and is far more efficient, which helps extend battery life.
Along with that impressive performance, the Signature 27 also gets an impressive
Extreme AMOLED Duo display that Motorola boasts is now the brightest on any phone.
On the rear case is a quad camera, powered by a main Sony lens, that features a 100X Super Zoom for impressive close-ups. There’s also the first-ever dedicated EVS action sensor on a smartphone, which helps to improve motion photography. The rear camera is so impressive that it’s been given a Gold Label for image quality performance by the experts at DXOMARK.
Video is also improved thanks to Motorola’s Video Enhancement Engine. This takes advantage of AI to create a real-time intelligence layer that automatically adjusts colour tones by analysing the scene before and during recording.
Next, there’s a boost to the audio this phone delivers, featuring audio by Bang & Olufsen. This premium speaker upgrade promises deeper bass, clearer vocals and greater fidelity across music, films and games.
Another bonus is a pretty epic battery, with Motorola cramming a massive 7000mAh battery inside – that’s 35 percent larger than the previous generation.
Other extras include access to speedy Wi-Fi 8 technology, smart features powered by Google Gemini and an ArcticMesh cooling system to stop things getting hot under pressure.
In addition, the device features Motorola Qira, a built-in AI system designed to connect and enhance experiences across supported Motorola and Lenovo devices.
The Signature 27 comes in PANTONE Coal Smoke and PANTONE Capulet Olive and is priced at £1,299.
“The motorola signature 27 gives us an exciting opportunity to show consumers what modern Motorola stands for,” said
Wilkin Lee, Head of Marketing, Motorola UK&I. “Our focus is on bringing its innovation to life in meaningful, human ways and giving people a reason to look at Motorola differently.”
