Vodafone offers millions of EE, Three and O2 users a free upgrade using simple code

EE, Three and O2 users who are running low on data might fancy taking Vodafone up on a new upgrade offer. The UK network has just announced an incentive that will give millions of people – currently using a rival service – access to free data, calls and texts. All they have to do is scan a QR code or visit Vodafone’s special website to claim.

Those giving it a go won’t even need to change their number or get a new SIM card delivered, thanks to Vodafone using eSIM technology to dish out the freebies, which include a whopping 50GB of data, 500 minutes and 500 texts.

If that sounds enticing, you’ll get the bonus upgrade for a full seven days. Vodafone has confirmed that it has launched the deal because it was crowned “London’s Best Mobile Network.”

And here’s the catch. It’s been confirmed that users must be in the UK capital for the incentive to work, and Vodafone is only dishing out a set number of eSIMs per day. However, if you are in London and fancy giving it a go, you could find you get the bonus without having to pay a penny.

Speaking about the update, Rob Winterschladen, Consumer Director for Vodafone UK, said: “As London’s Best Network, we pride ourselves on connecting this great city to the people and things they love. We know how important it is for people is to stay connected, so they can work on the move, stream their favourite TV show or movie, or simply contact friends and family.

“With no strings attached, customers of any network have a chance to join our trial for 7 days, completely free of charge. So, if they’re experiencing issues with their current provider or just fancy trying London’s Best Network, then now is the perfect time to try us out”.

To take advantage of the trial, non-Vodafone mobile customers simply scan a QR code (which can be found across London) or visit this page to sign up online, with the eSIM being installed via the My Vodafone app.

All they need to try the network for free is an eSIM compatible smartphone.
