Vladimir Putin unleashes hell on Ukraine with dozens injured in brutal missile attacks

Emergency services confirmed four deaths before a 60-year-old man was later pronounced dead in hospital.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky urged Western allies to speed up its support to stop “Russia’s regular missile attacks, as well as the occupier’s efforts to destroy as many Ukrainian positions as possible.”

He added: “And Russia’s offensive plans can be thwarted. For this, Ukrainian strength must be backed up by sufficient support from partners – ‘Patriots’ that need to be in Ukraine now, the 155-mm calibre (artillery ammunition)… and weapons with sufficient range to destroy Russian logistics.”

According to reports, among the injured was Serhiy Kivalov. He is an ally of Ukraine’s former pro-Putin President Viktor Yanukovych.

Meanwhile, in Kharkiv, Governor Oleh Syniehubov said the northeast of the city was bombed by the Russians.

He said: “A 42-year-old man was injured as a result of enemy fire. He was hospitalised with an explosive injury and shrapnel wounds… Doctors assess his condition as moderate.”

President Zelensky has recently warned that Russia could try and take Kharkiv – Ukraine’s second largest city – during an offensive later this year.
