Video shows killer MLB star Dan Serafini’s mistress being grilled by cops

New video shows the mistress of former MLB pitcher and killer Dan Serafini squirming as cops grilled her about Serafini’s attack on his in-laws.

Samantha Scott has plead guilty to being an accomplice in Serafini’s fatal assault on his in-laws in 2021. He killed his father-in-law and shot his mother-in-law in the head. His mother-in-law survived the attack but later took her own life.

In the interview obtained by KRCA, Scott misled detectives about the events on the day of the shooting.

She initially told them Serafini and herself met to buy a truck for his wife but went to go pick up a package. Scott said Serafini dropped her off and she waited hours for him to return.

But detectives were skeptical of her story. Scott, gripping her hands, listened as detectives clued her into the grave reality of the situation.

“Mark my word. You are in a lot of trouble,” a detective said, threatening to charge her with murder. “This does not make sense, you need to tell us exactly what happened.”

After Scott asked for her father to sit in on the interview, she dished out a changed story. Scott said she believed Serafini was picking up cocaine and that she had lied to other detectives.

“When other detectives knocked on your door, you were dishonest with us,” a detective said.

Scott said she did so because she does not believe Serafini committed the murders and didn’t want detectives to suspect him further.

“You guys already thought it was Dan, and I really don’t believe it’s him. And he said you guys already think he’s a drug dealer, so I really didn’t want to add that to the resume,” she said.

The mistress said she believed “in her heart” that Serafini did not commit the murders. “In my heart, I don’t think they did. But I don’t know,” she said.

A judge sentenced Serafini to two life sentences last month for the attack on his in-laws. Scott received a plea deal for her valuable testimony and is currently free but wearing an ankle monitor.
