Shoppers at Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury’s have been warned not to eat one particular product which has been found to contain an allergen.
Baxter’s Sliced Gherkins Crunchy and Sweet is being recalled over traces of undeclared mustard.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA): “Baxter’s Food Group is recalling the above product from customers and has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.
“The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers.”
The affected batch has a best before date of June 2026 – and covers batch codes 2400059 2400060 2400061 2400062 and 2400063.
Anyone who has purchased the item is urged to dispose of it.
They should then contact the Baxter’s customer care team on 0800 389 8389 or CCUK@baxters.com for a replacement.
