Urgent police hunt as woman driven away in 'dark vehicle' after horror Tesco attack


A woman was driven away in a “dark vehicle” after a horror attack outside a Tesco Express in Greater Manchester. The incident took place in Pendleton Way in Salford at around 10.45pm last Saturday, but police have since released few details of the assault.

Officers have released CCTV images in a bid to find anyone with information on the events which took place in a footpath entrance to Tesco Extra. A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: “At 10.45pm on December 16, a female was assaulted by a male on Pendleton Way, Pendleton, before she was seen being driven away in a dark coloured vehicle.

“The incident occurred on the footpath by the entrance to Tesco Extra. Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or recognises anyone in the pictures, to come forward and assist with their investigation.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101, quoting the log number 3649.
