Explosions rocked the Russian industrial city of Novomoskovsk as Ukrainian drones struck deep inside the Tula region, roughly 300 km from the border.
Residents reported more than ten blasts as air defences scrambled to intercept incoming UAVs.
Russia’s Defence Ministry claimed six drones were shot down, while authorities cut mobile internet access in the region amid the attack. At least two people have been injured.
The strike follows a string of Ukrainian operations targeting Russian military and industrial infrastructure, including recent hits on facilities in Saransk.
Officials have not confirmed the scale of the damage, but the incursion marks another bold strike far beyond the front lines.
Drone attacks on Moscow forced Russia to pause flights from several airports yesterday.
