A blast of snow and cold wintery weather is set to hit the UK again as chilly conditions are set to continue into February.
Latest maps from WXCHARTS show the snow will hit on the weekend following Valentine’s day.
On Saturday, February 15, snow will hit the south including London, Southampton and Bristol.
It will stretch as far up as Birmingham, but on Saturday much of the UK will not be impacted – but this isn’t the same for Sunday, February 16.
On Sunday, at midnight, the same areas will see snow continue but it will also hit most of Scotland and the north of England.
It will strech from the Scottish highlands down towards Manchester in a 327-mile snow flurry.
Cities such as Manchester and Newcastle will see around 4cm of snowfall.
Cardiff in Wales will see the highest levels of snowfall with around 8cm.
By 6pm on Sunday 16, it will begin to ease off with only Wales, Scotland, Cumbria, Bristol and parts of Devon still set to see some snowfall.
A temperature weather map for Sunday at 6am shows freezing temperatures will be felt across the UK.
The map shows chilly conditions are expected with nearly all of the UK seeing temperatures of 0C or even less.
Hit with the coldest temperature of -7C will be parts of Scotland and some parts of Wales.
The Met Office forecast says: “It is most likely that high pressure will dominate at first in some form or another, but there is a weak signal for a more unsettled spell in the second half of the month, before signals become indistinguishable from climatology by the start of March.
“Temperatures may be below average at first, with overnight frosts, but could return to near average or even rise a little above average later.
“Rainfall amounts, especially in the south and east are likely to be below average at first, but may return to near-normal values later in the month.”
