The UK could be in for 24 hours of snow and heavy rain in the first week of next month, with millions of Brits predicted to be blasted by brutal weather.
According to the latest weather maps and data WXCharts, it appears that the whole country from March 5-6 will see a deluge of rain, with many areas suffering winter flurries.
The north-west of England is forecast to see the heaviest snow, arriving on March 6, according to the online forecaster. Around the same time, southern England, including London, all the way up to Birmingham, will see a downpouring of rain.
The day before Wales, the north-west of England and the Highlands of Scotland could all be hit with snow, too.
A separate weather map from Netweather also shows a huge Atlantic jetstream smashing into the UK on March 5, suggesting millions of Brits should be bracing for stormy weather.
This comes just 24 hours after the Met Office issued new yellow snow and ice warnings that run until 12pm today (Tuesday), with 23 areas impacted.
Looking ahead, the Met Office’s long-range weather forecast for March 4-18 says: “Early March is likely to continue to see unsettled weather, with Atlantic frontal systems spreading across the UK from the west.
“These will bring spells of rain and strong winds at times, interspersed by some drier, brighter periods between systems.
“Into the middle of the month, drier, more settled conditions may become more prevalent, especially in the south. Temperatures are most likely to be above average.”
