Chelsea’s desire to get defender Renato Veiga off the books has been hampered by Atletico Madrid’s signing of Feyenoord centre-back David Hancko.
The Blues had been negotiating with the La Liga side over selling Veiga after he was loaned out to Juventus last season. However, Atletico are expected to now cool on a potential deal.
