The top 10 cities people want to return to have been revealed and it is good news for Britain.
Both London and Edinburgh featured in the rankings with England’s capital topping the table as travellers’ favourite city.
The table was compiled from research by InsureandGo which analysed thousands of Reddit comments and online reviews to determine which cities people are the most keen to revisit.
London garnered 93 different mentions from users, with many noting that they feel “at home” in the city.
Others mentioned London’s long list of attractions and things to do at night which pushes them to return as it is impossible to cover them all in one trip.
The Scottish capital came in 9th beating out Mexico City, while Paris came second in the table after being mentioned 89 times.
In joint third place, it was Barcelona and New York City with the same number of mentions, but European capitals dominated, making up seven of the top 10.
The only other non-European city in the top 10 was Tokyo which came 5th with 44 mentions.
The insurance company also looked at the attractions people most wanted to revisit, with Dollywood, Disneyland and Stone Mountain Park in the US coming in the top three followed by London’s Warner Bros Studio Tour and Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire.
