This Morning viewers demand 'shut up' as phone-in is hijacked by Prince Harry debate

ITV’s This Morning hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley sat down with Vanessa Feltz to answer calls from the public on Wednesday’s show. The presenting trio were discussing the news that Prince Harry would not be seeing his father King Charles during his short visit to the UK.

Prince Harry arrived in Britain alone after flying in from California for the ceremony marking the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games in London. His spokesman confirmed a clash of diaries was behind the reason he would not reunite with his father.

This Morning decided to swap their usual phone-in topics for a discussion on the latest Royal news. This sparked outrage amongst viewers who did not care for the comings and goings of Harry. Many took to X, formerly Twitter, to share their views.

Following one viewer, Pat, calling in to share her opinion, @Harrythomas888 said: “Shut up Pat go back to bed #thismorning.” Meanwhile ??????@kellymcc5 asked: “They’re actually doing a phone in about this? #thismorning”

@FlopsyPickle wrote: “Why is ITV so obsessed with Harry and Meghan and whether Harry has a relationship with his dad or not? It feels like the Royal Family have control of the strings in some way at ITV #ThisMorning”

@demelcy commented: “Really?! A phone in on this???. I couldn’t give a rat’s a**. #ThisMorning”

@BigFishermanC added: “Poor people calling tv shows to discuss people who live in palaces #ThisMorning”

@towerblockers shared: “I think, you should stay out of it. None of your goddamn business. #ThisMorning”
