The UK's top 10 Sunday roasts have been named and four of them are in the same city

The best roasts in Britain have been named with four of them located in the same city.

Roast lovers should move to London according to the new list from travel blog Enjoy Travel which lists Brixton’s Cafe Van Gogh, the Camberwell Arms, Blacklock in Soho and the Old Nun’s Head in Nunhead Green among the top 10 roasts in the UK.

But for the best roast in the UK, the blog says diners should head to Haworth in West Yorkshire for the roast dinner at Hawthorn which it says “oozes rustic charm” with “exceptional seasonal roasts” that have been “cooked in an extra special way to maximise flavour and quality”.

Making up the rest of the roast ranking were two Manchester locations in Ducie Street Warehouse and Refuge Bar, with Enjoy Travel saying the latter “combines international cuisine with the best of British cuisine”.

There were also two Edinburgh locations in the Scran and Scally and Kyloe, with the latter being praised for “the fluffiest roasties, light and crispy Yorkshires, lashings of gravy, and succulent cuts of meat”.

The list was rounded off by Ju Ju’s Bar in Birmingham which was said to offer a “warm and comforting”.

The Camberwell Arms took second place in the list with a “warm and welcoming atmosphere” which welcomes “tourists and Londoners alike”, the pub has already received roast dinner accolades from the likes of the Guardian which crowned it the best in the country.

When thinking up the list the blog munched through lunches at Michelin-starred restaurants and country boozers to find the best.

It told readers: “Once you try a roast dinner from these places, you won’t want to home-cook one ever again.”

Honourable mentions included the Spotted Cow in Bristol, the Snow Goose in Inverness and the Perch in Oxford.
