Golden sandy beaches with scenic coastal walks and activities to enjoy for all ages- the 10 best beaches in the UK have been revealed. A latest study has collated the best beaches in Britain and four of them are in one county.
The study by photo wall art creator StoryBoards analysed Instagram hashtag data and the length of 50 of the UK’s most popular beaches to find the top ten beaches and coves with the highest hashtags per metre count. According to the study, Cornwall has the most popular beaches in the country.
The study found that Kynance Cove in Cornwall is the most Instagrammable beach in the UK. The cove has more than 66,000 posts on Instagram, and with a length of just 200 metres, this equates to 331 posts per metre. Kynance Cove is known for its white sands and turquoise as the cove is part of the National Trust.
A spokesperson for StoryBoards commented on the findings: “With the upcoming clocks change and the weather warming up, many people can use this ranking as a guide to help identify the most picturesque beaches to visit in the UK.
“For those looking for more of a pebble beach, tourist hotspot Brighton Beach could be perfect for a family holiday, while Lulworth Cove is a fantastic choice for those looking for a beach with a learning twist.
“These findings situate Cornwall as the best location in the UK for a beach holiday this year, with four of the top entries in the top ten. No doubt any holiday based in Cornwall will be a fantastic one.”
Brighton Beach is situated along the southern coast of England, overlooking the English Channel. It is part of the larger city of Brighton and Hove, often simply referred to as Brighton.

Lulworth Cove is designated as part of the Jurassic Coast UNESCO World Heritage Site, recognising its importance in understanding the Earth’s geological history. Efforts are made to protect and conserve the natural environment of the cove, including measures to prevent erosion and maintain its ecological integrity.
It serves as a starting point for several scenic coastal walks, including the Lulworth Cove to Durdle Door walk.
This picturesque trail follows the coastline and offers panoramic views of the cliffs, sea, and surrounding countryside.
The walk to nearby Durdle Door, a natural limestone arch, is particularly popular and offers stunning vistas along the way.

Scarborough Beach is situated on the North Sea coast of England, within the town of Scarborough. It is one of the oldest and most famous seaside resorts in the country, attracting visitors from near and far.
The beach offers a wide range of activities for visitors to enjoy. These include swimming, sunbathing, sandcastle building, and beach games such as volleyball and frisbee.
