WWE star Jade Cargill took time for some Q&A with The Post’s Joseph Staszewski ahead of her United States Women’s championship match against Tiffany Stratton at Night of Champions (Saturday, 1 p.m., ESPN Unlimited).
Edited for clarity and length.
Q: After WrestleMania, you called your first title reign a “practice run” and said the next one would be better. What did you learn from that run, and how do you feel, if you do beat Tiffany, that this one can be better?
A: Trust is a major play in all of this and I have been able to go out there and deliver. Because at the end of the day, the end of the story is the match. I think I’ve learned to really do things my way and I haven’t really been doing things my way. I’ve kind of just been taking things and just going with the flow. Now with trust, I’ve been able to really hone in on my skills and do things my way and how I would say it and how I would go about it. So that is something that I learned in my first run.
