Wine expert and founder of Partner in Wine, Lucy Hitchcock has taken to TikTok to share a Champagne dupe that’s £34 cheaper than the pricy Champagne Bollinger.
Lucy, who goes by @partnerinwineuk on TikTok, said in her video: “If you love Bollinger, you are going to love this dupe. Bollinger lovers get ready because I have found a dupe that is less than half the price of a bottle of Bollinger, saving you at least £34.
“Morrisons English Sparkling is a blend of the exact same grapes used to make Bollinger but it is of course made using the Champagne method.
“It’s also been aged for an impressive eight years giving it a richness and depth that all Bollinger lovers dream of.”
The Morrisons English Sparkling wine is vintage which means all of the grapes come from one exceptional year.
One person commented on Lucy’s TikTok video claiming they were “so impressed” with the champagne dupe.
They said: “It is literally the same!! So impressed.”
And it seems Morrisons shoppers love the English Sparkling wine too. One person reviewing the wine wrote on the website: “Nice and dry, decent fruit and a little biscuity – fresh and clean. Would rank it very favourably with Champagne 3x the price. Will be buying again.”
Another said: “Fantastic. My favourite. Even blind tested against Champagne at £120 this wins for me. Supporting British producers is a massive bonus too.”
