Terrifying moment London machete madman stabs Deliveroo cyclist and asks 'is he dead?'

A machete-wielding teen who kicked a Deliveroo rider off his bike in Enfield, stabbed him in front of horrified onlookers has been jailed for six and a half years.

The attacker, 19-year-old Lewis Livingstone from Wellington Road, Enfield, was sentenced on March 15 after he previously admitted to attempted robbery and possession of a bladed article.

The victim, a 28-year-old man, was cycling home on Fore Street, Enfield when he was attacked just before 4.30pm on Saturday, July 1. Livingstone, who was waiting at a bus stop, suddenly jumped out and kicked the cyclist, knocking him off his bike.

Livingstone then pulled out a large knife and chased the victim away from the bike. He got on the bike and waved the knife at the victim when he came back.

The victim tried to stop Livingstone from stealing his bike and tackled the teen. As they both fell to the ground, Livingstone grabbed his knife and stabbed the victim in the stomach in front of many terrified people, reports MyLondon.

The victim cried out for help and sustained more knife wounds on his hands as he tried to protect himself. Brave members of the public stepped in to stop Livingstone and he was caught when police arrived at the scene a few minutes later.

When someone asked why he did it, a witness heard Livingstone just say: “Is he dead? ” The hurt man got help right away and then went to the hospital. Luckily, his injuries weren’t life threatening.

The police charged Livingstone in less than a day. The teen said he was defending himself, but this was quickly disproved.

The victim shared: “I believe this man was going to kill me, had the people not come to my rescue. I am still not over the shock and fear. I spent the night in hospital having nightmares.

“I still have a lot of pain on my side and hands as a result of being stabbed. I am now in the queue waiting for surgery on my hands.”
