Sussex locals slam Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for ‘wanting glamour without hard work'

A local resident of Chichester, David Abrahams, 83, expressed his disappointment with the couple’s actions to Mail Online.

“I don’t support them at all,” he said. “It isn’t very good what they’ve done.

“They have cashed in in many ways, without doing much to help.”

Another resident, Diane Smith, 91, shared her thoughts with the same publication: “They thought they can keep the titles and not do the work, just to get the glamour of the royal name.”

However, some people online think the couple hasn’t done anything wrong. A user on X (formerly Twitter) posted: “Wow! Have you guys checked out Harry and Meghan’s revamped website? It is now called https://sussex.com

“Encourage you to check it out. I love what they did. Love the about pages about each [of] them and their accomplishments. Show Up. Do Good.”

Royal commentator Michael Cole believes that the Palace likely agrees with those expressing disappointment, stating that it would have probably “gone down terribly badly at Buckingham Palace”.
