Stylish star Lucy Boynton shows off her ‘Greatest Hits’ on the red carpet

You may know English-American actress Lucy Boynton from the Oscar-winning film “Bohemian Rhapsody,” the Netflix original series “The Politician” or her turn as Marie Antoinette in “Chevalier.”

But if you’re a fashion fiend, you’ll recognize the actress for her iconic style. Boynton, who has been out and about promoting her latest film, “The Greatest Hits,” has a few unmistakable red-carpet calling cards: dramatic black and white tones, Twiggy-esque eye makeup, head-to-toe Chanel looks and quirky accessories that lend a gothic sensibility to her doll-like beauty.

The vintage-inspired, black skirt suit Boynton wore to the Bora Aksu London fashion week show is a prime example of the actress’s eye for delicate pieces with an erudite edge.

The slightly oversized silhouette pairs elegantly with Oxford-like heels and a red lip. While promoting “The Greatest Hits” at South by Southwest, Boynton was buoyed by a voluminous blouse-and-skirt combo from Chopova Lowena — a brand whose references range “from Bulgarian folklore to 1980s rock-climbing.”

And when it comes to fashion houses, none could better represent Boynton’s signature style than Chanel. Known for classic patterns and suit-inspired collections with polished, feminine and even haunting touches, the star looks completely at home in anything Chanel touches.

For the house’s haute couture show in Paris, she chose a mini dress that checked all the right boxes — and repped the brand in rainbow-flecked tweed at the opening of its Fifth Avenue boutique.

In two more Chanel looks, Boynton used hosiery to elevate her looks: First while promoting the brand’s new Coco Crush campaign in a white set with striped stockings, and then while attending “The Greatest Hits” LA premiere in a capacious floral jacket and trendy white tights.

Her passion for pantyhose popped up again when she added playful polka dot tights to a Lauren Perrin look while promoting her film at SiriusXM.

Finally, at the London premiere for “The Greatest Hits,” Boynton ditched her usual color palette for an opalescent seafoam mini dress from Simone Rocha’s Jean Paul Gaultier haute couture collection.

Now that’s how you establish a red-carpet reputation.
