Starbucks is making a huge change to its menu across UK stores from Thursday as it launches its autumnal range, which includes the return of the iconic Pumpkin Spice Latte.

The sweet drink became the coffee chain’s most popular seasonal drink of all time after first landing on menus more than 20 years ago, and its return is always eagerly anticipated by Starbucks’ fans. Made with real pumpkin, the warming beverage has become somewhat synonymous with autumn and this year it will be joined on the menu by several other pumpkin spice-infused concoctions.

As well as the classic Pumpkin Spice Latte, customers can enjoy it iced or as a creamy Frappuccino, but for those keen to branch out, there are two new drink additions for 2025. This includes the Pumpkin Spice Caramel Macchiato and the Iced Pumpkin Spice Caramel Macchiato, which bring together a dreamy combination of sweet caramel and autumnal spices.

The drink comprises steamed milk with pumpkin spice flavour sauce blended with signature espresso, topped with a caramel drizzle and a spice blend of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and cloves.

Sam Henderson, group manager of Beverage Development for Starbucks EMEA, explained: “Pumpkin spice flavours embody Autumn, with rich warming notes, so we decided to elevate this with the addition of comforting caramel and complex layers taking inspiration from a Starbucks classic to create a new beverage this season.

“The original Starbucks Caramel Macchiato introduced a new way to enjoy layered coffee back in 1966, and this new creation builds on those textures and notes, using our iconic Pumpkin Spice flavour to add a twist to a familiar favourite.”

In addition to the new autumnal drinks, customers can also tuck into new food in the autumn season too with a vintage Cheddar and smoked bacon quiche joining the menu, along with a vintage Cheddar and onion quiche and a pork and maple bacon lattice.

New on the dessert menu is a white chocolate and cherry blondie, which joins an array of returning favourites including the toffee apple muffin, pumpkin-shaped chocolate brownie and pumpkin marble loaf cake.

Starbucks is also releasing a selection of seasonal merchandise this year including a green glow slime cold cup, a pumpkin mug, a pumpkin tumbler, and a new peep cat mug.

Starbucks’ autumnal Pumpkin Spice Latte range officially launched in the UK on August 28, but only in select stores for Starbucks’ Rewards members.

Those who are members of the Rewards scheme can find their nearest store using the Starbucks Store Locator and then simply scan the Rewards app to get early access to the autumn menu in participating stores. For stores where it is available, you can use the Starbucks UK app to order ahead and collect in store.

If you’re not a Rewards member then you’ll have to wait until Thursday, September 4, to get your hands on it. From this date the menu will be available to all customers in UK stores and on Starbucks Delivers.
