Sort Your Life Out's Dilly Carter issues warning from hospital bed as fans send support

Sort Your Life Out star Dilly Carter has given fans an update about her health after spending the bank holiday weekend in hospital. Stacey Solomon’s co-star has been experiencing ongoing problems as she continues her recovery from stage one womb cancer.

On Monday, Dilly shared a picture of her with a tube up her nose while laid in a hospital wearing pyjamas. Alongside the snap, she wrote in the caption: “Just a shout out to all those with ongoing health issues post cancer, post any major illness.

“I see you, I feel you, I know how exhausting and draining it is. You are not alone.” Dilly went on to urge fans to lean on loved ones for support and trust health professionals with what they’re doing, adding: “No matter how hard it seems, how big that mountain ahead seems, you can climb it.”

In further advice, the professional organiser urged those suffering to “find the small wins in everything” and to “look for those even in your hardest moments and hold onto them”.

Of her appearance, Dilly said she felt better than she looked and would be home later on once the tube has been taken out. “Thank god I manage to keep my pyjama game strong even at the low times,” she continued.

Issuing a stark warning, the BBC star urged fans not to ignore any gynae related symptoms no matter how small.

“Please prioritise your health and get seen. Follow the @eveappeal if you aren’t sure what’s right or wrong with your body. KNOW YOUR NORMAL.

“Because you don’t want to end up with issues that can’t be treated because you left it too late. Our health is all we have!

“Anyway… I’ll be home today. Bank holiday weekends are overrated anyway.”

Many of Dilly’s 343,000 followers rushed to the comments section to send supportive message including Strictly Come Dancing’s Graziano Di Prima, who wrote: “Sending love darling.”

A second wrote: “Get better soon,” while a third added: “All the love darling . Your positivity and strength is a massive inspiration to everyone. We love you. Xxx.”

Taking to her Story after her hospital visit, the BBC star told fans she felt “1000x better” now that the tube was out.

She went on to thank her followers for their ongoing support as she continues her health journey.

Dilly announed she had womb cancer in an emotional post back in April 2023 after being diagnosed a year previously.

The mother-of-one shared that while at a check-up appointment following major surgery called a myomectomy to remove 12 fibroids, she was told they were cancerous and had spread to the lining of her womb.

At the time she told fans: “This would mean I would have to undergo a radical hysterectomy to remove my womb, ovaries and fallopean tubes to stop the cancer spreading.”

Sadly for Dilly however, the news only got worse when was told her cancer had gone from stage one to stage three.

With this discovery, she went on to have more surgery to remove lymph nodes as well as her womb.
