Shower glass dries ‘streak-free and crystal clear every time’ with two-ingredient spray

Shower door glass that’s stained with limescale or soap scum makes even the cleanest of bathrooms appear filthy.

When soap combines with water, it becomes scum instead of just washing down the drain. It sticks to hair, clothes, skin, and shower door glass.

For those who struggle with limescale in their homes, it can be especially difficult to figure out how to clean shower glass doors.

Hard water stains, known as limescale, are tough to remove, especially after they have been sitting for a while.

Taking to her TikTok account @missporcelianxo, Dani has shared a video on how to clean shower glass that she captioned: “Quick shower scrub”.

Instead of using a shower cleaner full of harsh chemicals, the cleaning fan prefers to use a method that uses just two kitchen ingredients.

Dani said: “This is the best hack I’ve ever used for cleaning the shower screen glass.

“In a spray bottle, I add three-quarters white vinegar and a quarter dish soap and scrub for the most shiny streak-free and crystal clear glass every time.”

White vinegar is an amazing multipurpose liquid with lots of uses. Most people have vinegar around the house making it super easy to clean shower glass with vinegar.

Dani then gave the glass screen a rinse with the shower head and left it to dry on its own.

She then showed the fine result and the shower screen was spotless with no soap scum or limescale left behind.

For those who find that limescale isn’t shifting with this homemade spray, they can try using baking soda with vinegar.

Baking soda acts as an abrasive, and combined with vinegar, can be very effective at dissolving many hard water spots and soap scum.

If you want to try this method, simply saturate a sponge or cloth with vinegar, then coat it with baking soda.

Use a little elbow grease to scrub until the stains disappear. Rinse with warm water to remove any remaining residue.
