Shocking moment 'thieves steal wine from food bank before threatening to bottle staff'

A shocking video showing a woman stealing from a food bank that helps homeless people has surfaced online.

The footage, taken at charity Feedo Needo’s cafe in Digbeth, Birmingham, shows the woman threatening staff as she takes off with two bottles of wine.

The Arabica Cafe aims at providing a warm space for those needing respite, as well as free hot meals and tea/coffee.

According to the charity’s website, the cafes feed around 5,000 people every month across four branches – including Birmingham.

In the video, the woman is seen entering what appears to be the charity’s stock room, grabbing two bottles of wine before leaving.

One staff member attempted to grab the bottles of wine from the woman, while another filmed her as she gave one to her friend before leaving the cafe.

The staff member filming says “you can’t take it” as shocked onlookers watch the event unfold. He then follows the woman outside as she threatens to bottle him, causing him to run away.

She then runs at a second staff member who closes the door on her, before threatening the cameraman a second time.

He then runs away as she charges at him, before seemingly spilling milk she had also stolen on the floor. Both the woman and her friend make off with the stolen goods.

The charity also provides a food bank for those struggling with the cost of living.

On the website, the charity describes the cafe as a “safe, warm space where our users come to socialise, read, enjoy hot drinks, stay warm and have something to eat”.

Feedo Needo has been contacted for comment.
