Shocking moment passenger slaps pilot into cockpit after 13-hour flight delay

A fuming passenger slapped a pilot back into the cockpit as his flight was delayed for 13 hours over dense fog.

The incident happened Sunday aboard an IndiGo flight from New Delhi to Goa, India.

Footage shows fellow passengers watching in horror as the man charges at the front of the plane and attacks the pilot, who retreats back into the cockpit for protection.

The man was escorted off the plane and arrested by Delhi police. He was later released on bail, according to India Today.

In a statement, IndiGo said the “unruly” customer was also referred for inclusion on the “no-fly list.”

IndiGo said it referred him to the “no-fly” list in a statement after the incident.

“The safety and security of our customers and crew are of paramount importance, and we maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards any such unacceptable behavior,” the airline said.

IndiGo has been the subject of many complaints due to delays and other difficulties. On Saturday, Indian actress Radhika Apte took to Instagram to share her own horror story with the airline.

“I had a flight at 8:30. It’s 10:50 now and the flight has still not boarded,” she wrote. “BUT the flight said we were boarding and put all the passengers in the aeorobridge and LOCKED IT!”
