If you’ve ever cooked salmon and wondered how to take it from simply good to unforgettable, a cooking expert has revealed the one ingredient that will make it “melt in your mouth”. “A single ingredient and the salmon will melt in your mouth!” a cooking expert exclaimed in a recent Appetizing TV video posted to social media that’s been making waves online with more than 1.3m views on Facebook. Simply adding butter infuses the salmon fillet with rich, indulgent flavour and incredible tenderness.

The butter coats the salmon and locks in moisture, giving it that luxurious, juicy, melt-in-your-mouth texture. The recipe involves seasoning 800 grams of salmon with salt and black pepper and melting about 200 grams of butter in the microwave oven until soft, then brushing it generously over the fish.

Cut the fillet into large portions and fry the pieces over medium heat for about eight minutes, flipping halfway through to ensure both sides are golden and crisp.

In the same pan, add a sliced onion and cook until it softens. Stir in three grated garlic cloves, followed by 250 grams of sliced mushrooms and one red bell pepper, cut into thin strips.

Once the vegetables begin to soften, season lightly, then add 120 grams of spinach and some cooking cream, stirring until the sauce becomes rich and creamy.

Place the cooked salmon pieces back into the pan, nestling them gently into the sauce. Top with lemon slices, cover with a lid, and let it simmer for 15 minutes to allow the flavours to meld.

When cooked over medium heat, the milk solids in butter begin to brown, giving the salmon a golden, crisped crust with a subtle nutty aroma. Butter adds a rich, slightly nutty flavour when it browns, which pairs well with the natural sweetness of salmon.

When combined with cream, garlic, lemon, and sautéed vegetables, it ties everything together and delivers a silky, cohesive finish to the entire dish.

For a perfect side, boil potatoes until tender, then mash them with butter, warm milk, salt, and pepper to taste.
