A disturbing video has surfaced on social media featuring Russian soldiers wounded and abandoned in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
The video, posted on X, shows the soldiers in a field hospital where they claim to have been left without essential medical care. It was shared by WarTranslated, an independent media project translating materials about the Russia-Ukraine war into English.
The person filming the video shows the soldiers in what appears to be a dank basement, saying, “here are the patients and how they’re treated in these conditions”.
The camera pans across the meager and one soldier says, “we’re not needed anywhere by anyone. They just dumped us.” He expressed frustration, claiming to have been prescribed medications but receiving none.
He said: “I’ve been prescribed injections, pills … Yet I’m just laid here and not given anything. We live worse than the f***ing homeless.”

A recent assessment by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reported ongoing positional engagements in the east bank of Kherson near the village of Krynky.
The think tank also noted Russian attempts to increase their use of first-person view (FPV) drones, but Ukrainian forces have reportedly downed half of them with small arms fire and electronic warfare systems.
Colonel Natalia Humeniuk, a spokesperson for Ukraine’s Southern Operational Command, stated that Russian forces have “recently intensified infantry assaults in the east bank of Kherson Oblast and that 70 percent of Russian personnel sustained casualties in these assaults.”
